Treat and Train Machine

Dispenses food when you press the remote control! Great for dogs that need to be separated by a gate, xpen, etc. Dogs and babies, dogs and cats, dogs that alert bark, dogs that are learning to stay on their mats with duration and distance.

Batteries for your Treat and Train

The Treat and Train machine does not come with batteries. So, get some of these too!

Treats for the Treat and Train

This is the brand I usually use with my Treat and Train. They don’t jam the machine.

Dog Bed

Dog bed for teaching mat work. It’s anti-slip, so dog the can be confident getting on and off the bed. Good for crates, too.

Snuffle mat

I often use a snuffle mat in conjunction with the Treat and Train machine. I place it up high on a chair or other furniture, and remove the bottom of the treat dish. That way, treats roll and fall on the snuffle mat!

Orvis dog bed

Expensive but it’s the long term bed I find works for a lot of dogs. Don’t buy it if you have a dog that destroys beds. Then you might have better luck with different kinds.

Dog Crate

For potty training, management of dogs with aggression, and for teaching dogs to settle. Every dog should be comfortable in a crate, as you never know when you’ll need one!

Tie-down 5 ft

The longer tie-down is for bigger dogs that need to learn to settle in a specific spot.

Tie Down 3 ft

The short tie-down is for dogs that might chase a cat, or need to learn to settle in a particular location where a crate is not possible.

DIVIDing spaces

I use these to separate my baby, toddler, and dogs when needed. I also use them for separating dogs and cats, creating a safe space for shy dogs, to puppy proof an area for puppies, or simply to have a space bigger than a crate for my dog to relax.

Robust Xpen

This is my preferred living room divider, especially with open floor plans. PRO: This brand is pretty solid and does not scratch wood floor. CONS: This pen is only 30” tall, so if your dog is a jumper you might need a taller one.

Metal Xpen

If you need a taller gate, I would go for this one because it’s a little more sturdy than the thin metal one.

Thin metal Xpen

It gets the job done, but it’s flimsy and noisy. While that might be annoying, it’s cheaper than most. You can get it in lots of different sizes, but I always recommend getting a tall one so your dog does not even consider jumping it.

BABY GATE

The baby gate is for separating spaces that have doorways! This is great for separating dogs and guests/visitors, training your dog not to jump on you, separating dogs and babies.

Privacy window film rice paper

Dogs that get stimulated by the sight of people, dogs, or critters from outside might benefit from having a film on the window glass. Light comes in, but not the shapes from triggers!

Hatch baby white noise machine

Dogs that are barky when they hear sounds from outside might benefit from having a white noise machine on to help mask those sounds. This one makes a variety of electronic sounds (train, rain, wind, or just “white” noise), and you can select the volume!

Dohm white noise machine

This noise machine is used the same as the Hatch, but rather than making an electronic sound, it makes a mechanical one. Some sounds are better masked by physical noises, so consider this option!

Thundershirt

Some anxious dogs like the tight feeling of the thundershirt and take some comfort while wearing it. It won’t work for all anxious dogs, but it’s always worth a try!

Mutt Muffs

These are for dogs who are sensitive to sound or even sound phobic. They’re great for fireworks season, though they will need to be properly introduced. Needs a vet wrap to keep it in place.

Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball

I like this food puzzle toy because it’s not as noisy as the hard plastic ones when rolling on a wood floor.

IQ Treat ball

You can adjust the level of difficulty on this toy!

LICKIMAT

I use lickimats SO often in my house. A little bit of peanut butter, yogurt, or smashed banana on it, and it lasts a good, long time! It’s easy for all dogs to use, and can be customized to all diets. I usually start shy dogs on this toy before progressing to Toppls, or Kongs.

TOPPL Food Dispensing toy

Along with the lickimat, I use the Toppl daily. I prefer to feed from this toy than a food bowl. You can also freeze your dog’s food in here and is not as challenging as the kong for your dog to get it out!

KONG

The classic! I own many of these. That said, because it is hard to clean and can be too deep for dogs to fully excavate, I now tend to prefer the Toppl. But lots of dogs love their frozen Kongs with delicious food in it, so let your dog decide!

Blue-9 Balance Harness

I love how flexible this harness is. It fits most dogs well and does not restrict shoulder movement like some front clip harness brands.

Freedom Harness

Same benefits as the Balance harness, but it has a martingale ring and it’s a “safer” option for dogs that try to escape their harnesses.

Leather 6ft leash

Who doesn’t love a good leather leash? I have one from this brand and with time it became very soft in my hands.

Biothane 10ft Leash

I use a 10 foot line daily, and it’s one of my most useful tools! You can use them to train dogs to come when called while on hikes, to walk nicely on neighborhood walks, and many other tasks. Go get one, and I’ll show you the magic that is a longer line!

Martingale collar

This collar can prevent a dog from backing out and getting free, though I mostly use these clipped in conjunction with a front-attachment harness for security. This is often a good option for newly adopted dogs that might have some unknown fears and suddenly bolt. It’s a safety gear, not a training aid.

Tag silencer

Every dog should wear a tag silencer, in my opinion! Jingly dogs with their noisy tags announce their presence on the block and activate reactive dogs all around! Walk incognito!

Spray Shield

I always carry citronella spray for safety reasons. What if I am walking and an off leash comes to attack my dog? I would use this on the attacker. It won’t deter very determined dogs, but it might stop some of them.

Halti Head collar

This tool should be used carefully. I do not recommend them for most dogs. Dogs need to be fully desensitized to wearing them before they are used, and that takes time. That said, they can be very beneficial for the management of specific issues, and might be right for your team. Talk to me and let’s see if it’s a good fit!

Baskerville Ultra Muzzle

This is an entry level muzzle! That’s where I would start! It’s cheap and it fits most dogs. If it does not fit yours, ask me about a biothane muzzle.

Car safety harness

Crash tested. If dog does not have a car crate, this might fit the bill!

Doggie cam

This camera is dualband: 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Works for 5G internet. Watch your dog when you’re not at home!

Doggie cam

This is the camera I had and preferred but when I switched my internet to 5G this one no longer worked. If you have 2.4 internet this is the one I like.

Baby food meat

1-2 licks is a treat! A lot of dogs agree this is a high value item! I use it a lot for recalls!

Charlee Bear treats

I use these treats a lot for large dogs that like to crunch! It’s light-colored, so it is easy to see it on the sidewalk for tossed treats (“find it” cue).

Redbarn Dog Food Roll

I use it as treats. Chop them, divide them in freeze bags and you will always have treats to go!

Bully Sticks

To be chewed when supervised. My dog eats one almost everyday, and it’s a life saver for busy days where I need her to be entertained on her own.

Flea tick wipe

For wiping your dog before a hike!

Nature’s miracle enzymatic cleaner

When you have a puppy you have to have an enzymatic cleaner!

Rescue desisnfectant

Effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria, viruses and fungi, including Parvo, staph, HIV and more.

Dog Shampoo Fair Advantage

I use this shampoo on my dog and I love the smell of it.

Chris Christensen Brush

This is a brand I love for brushes and shampoos. Make sure to chose the right size for your dog.

Dremel for filing dogs’s nails

If you are invested in desensitizing your dogs to file their nails using the Dremel, this is the model I use. I find my dog prefers the Dremel (after training) over the nail clippers.

Millers Forge Nail clipper

This is the brand I prefer for nail clippers.

iRobot Roomba

If your dog is not afraid of robots, this is such a great addition to help maintain your house clean of pet hair.

Dyson Animal Cordless Vacuum V11

After you try a Dyson there is no going back. This model is the most expensive one.

Dyson Animal Cordless Vacuum V8

This is the vacuum I have! Older model but works perfectly for my house. Less $$.
